MWH, now a part of Stantec is currently seeking a Lead Drainage Network Specialist for a site operation managing the New District of Doha Pumping Station and Outfall Project in Qatar.
The ideal candidate will be a strong well-disciplined highly experienced technical and experienced water engineer who has specialized and worked primarily as a gravity systems network modeller on main sewer, collection and drainage piped/tunnelled systems and overland flow analysis.
A highly experienced hands on modeller is required who has significant depth and breadth in all aspects of the model cycle through from strategic, concept development, optioneering, feasibility and detailed design modelling activities – including model validation and calibration etc.
Latterly this candidate will also have been providing high level hands on detailed technical review and auditing of all aspects of the modelling cycle, including on existing main sewerage/collection/drainage systems and rehabilitation and shall also have been working on strategic master planning and asset optimization and real time control studies and assessments etc.
A highly experienced and specialized gravity systems network hydraulic modeller who can clearly and succinctly undertake strategic options assessment, present the same in a clear and concise manner as a seasoned presenter, and deliver best in class output gravity (and pumped) system network recommendations and system optimization and RTC recommendations that will provide the optimum and most cost effective solution.

-Degree in Civil Engineering
-Internationally recognized chartership
-10-15 years of relevant experience
- Experience working in the GCC.
-Well conversant of the layout plans, Hydraulic Flow diagrams, process and instrumentation diagrams, piping drawings and General arrangement drawings and should have the experience of preparing these.
-Ability to carry out the basic calculations required for preparing the detailed design documents.
