Job Description Clinical Specialist Radiation Oncology – APAC

Your challenge

Philips Radiation Oncology Solutions Business Innovation Unit is looking for an experienced Medical Physicist with a strong clinical background to fill the position of “Clinical Specialist” to support the sales organizations in winning profitable deals and increasing market share. Key activities include providing product and clinical support, and training to the field.

You provide the commercial teams with the direct support to drive preference and accelerate order intake including presentations to customers and support at local market exhibitions. Attend tradeshows and manage customer visits. Support the commercial team with all aspects of deal strategy including competitive positioning strategy, pricing strategy, presentation strategy and knowing when to bring in the right resources to close the deal. Respond to product configuration, quotation and other product questions, competitive information, and product training.

In addition, you provide clinical education and support to our existing users, to ensure high customer satisfaction and to maximize customer intimacy, NPS (Net Promoter Score) and retention rate.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales presentations and demonstrations and after-sales applications & physics trainings of existing and new products to our customers, prospects and channel partners.

  • Provide presentations and demonstrations at customer sites, in workshops and at national and international tradeshows as needed.

  • Provide web-based applications trainings & product webinars to customers and prospects.

  • Improve the user experience of Philips Radiation Oncology Imaging and Treatment Planning solutions portfolio for our customers.

  • Support and accelerate clinical adoption of NPI’s (New Product Introductions).

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and early adopters of new products and technologies.

  • Support user group meetings to better understand the needs of our customers and provide feedback to the R&D organizations.

  • Act as a liaison between the Business Innovation Unit (BIU), the key markets, channel partners and users and prospects in the APAC key markets.

  • Provide support in resolving customer satisfaction issues.

Your team

Philips is a recognized leader in radiation therapy simulation and treatment planning solutions. We continue to provide industry leading, state-of-the art solutions to Radiation Therapy clinicians that excel in accuracy, automation, workflow, and ease-of-use. The Ingenia MR-RT is a dedicated MR imaging solution that allows Radiation Oncology departments to integrate MR imaging in their treatment planning workflow. Pinnacle Treatment Planning is used in one in three radiotherapy departments globally and over 1000 Brilliance Big Bore Oncology CTs are installed globally.

The International Sales Support team is a critical interface between the Business and the Markets. The team supports the sales organizations at key market level in winning profitable deals and increasing market share. Key activities include providing product, pricing, clinical and technical information towards the sales organizations. It provides sales & marketing tools and training to the field. In addition, the team is constantly collecting input from the sales force, customers and other external sources to be used within upstream marketing projects. The team will also report competitors’ behaviors.

This function will report to the Director of Sales for the International Markets.

We are looking for

  • Certified Medical Physicist

  • Excellent Radiation Oncology domain knowledge

  • Experience with Pinnacle Treatment Planning, CT Big Bore and/or Ingenia MR-RT will be a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and public speaking skills

  • Proficiency in English, other languages a plus

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team

  • Willingness to travel internationally at least 50% of the time, including overnight and weekend.

  • Good cultural awareness

  • Proton experience will be a plus

  • Corporate/Commercial experience will be a plus
